Launched in 2015 after two years of holding independent cataract camps in Goa, the Bhagwati Trust conducts eye camps to correct cataract – a condition reversible by a simple operation that is often inaccessible to many. Our camps – in collaboration with Dr Chandrakant Shetye in North Goa, Dr Chandrakant Gaunkar in South Goa and the Rotary Club of Panjim Riviera – service the most rural areas of the state, bearing pre- and post-operative care and costs.

The Trust also provides fowler beds and rexine mattresses to homes for the aged, water filters, coolers, and computers to schools, and builds/renovates toilets and bathrooms in aid of the elderly and school children.

Their happiness and improved quality of life inspires us to do better towards their well-being.
